Getting a real client inquiry feels the same as when your ideal customer finally finds you

On the joy of genuine inquiry, the reality of fake leads, and an honest invitation to the founder this studio was built for.

First client inquiry: the feeling I never want to lose

When my first client inquiry came in, my reaction was immediate and completely undignified. I read it twice, put my phone down, picked it up again, read it a third time, and then just sat there grinning at nothing. No way. I can’t believe this. Someone had found me, looked at my work, and decided I was the person they wanted to trust with their brand.

That feeling like the giddiness, the disbelief, the pure gratitude of it. It is one I never want to become numb to. Every real client who reaches out is someone who has built something they care deeply about and is choosing to let me into it. That is not a small thing. I want to feel that every single time.

And here is what I’ve realised: that feeling is exactly what you want your ideal customer to feel when they finally find your brand. That sense of recognition of landing somewhere and thinking, yes, this is exactly what I have been looking for. That is the feeling a clear, emotionally resonant brand creates. And it is what I want to help you build.

“The moment a real client finds me should feel the same as the moment your ideal customer finds you. That recognition! Yes, finally, is what good branding makes possible.”

Not all client inquiries are made equal.

What I didn’t anticipate, when I first started putting myself out there, is that not every inquiry is real. Over the last few months I’ve received messages from people offering to grow my followers, automated services dressed up as genuine interest, enquiries that look like client leads from a distance but dissolve into nothing the moment you reply. There have been enough of them that I’ve learned to pause now, re-read carefully, and ask myself: is this genuine?

I don’t say this to be discouraging. I say it because it has deepened my appreciation for the inquiries that are real: the founders who fill out a contact form thoughtfully, who write actual sentences about their business and their goals, who show up to a video call prepared and genuinely excited. Those clients exist. This post is for them. And this is what I want that experience to look like for both of us.

Be excited for a new chapter for you

I want you to feel the same excitement reaching out to me as I feel receiving your message. I want you to land on my inquiry form and feel something such as a sense of recognition, of having finally found the person who was built for the kind of work you are trying to create. I want you to fill it out carefully, not because I have made it complicated, but because you have real things to say about your brand, your vision, and what this moment in your business means to you.

I want to get on a video call with you and feel the energy of someone who is ready. Not just curious, but ready. Ready to do the positioning work, to sit with the questions that are harder than they look, to trust a process even when it asks more of you than you expected. Because that is where the work that actually changes things comes from — not from a brief filled out in five minutes, but from a founder who has been thinking about this for a long time and finally found someone she wants to think through it with.

A note to the founder I want to work with

You are probably at one of three moments right now. You are launching something new and you want to enter the market as the brand you actually intend to be, not a rough draft you will have to redo in two years. Or you have been in business for a while and something has shifted: you have grown, your offer has matured, and the brand you have no longer reflects the business you have become. Or you are scaling, expanding, reaching further than your physical space or your current audience, and you need a brand that can hold all of that without losing what made you worth following in the first place.

Whichever moment you are in, I want to help you build something that is strategically aligned, visually consistent, and emotionally clear . You want a brand that makes your ideal customer feel, the moment she finds you, exactly what I felt when my first real client found me.

That recognition. That yes, finally. That is what we are building.

If that is you, INQUIRE HERE. I would genuinely love to hear from you.
